In the last post, I explained what are Pancha Mahabhutas and How each of them has different properties and functions.
But you all must be wondering, How do these Mahabhutas actually assemble and coordinate to form such structures? Worry not, I will be discussing just that. From the atomic level to a complete Homo sapiens. Fascinating, right? So, let's jump in.
• At Atomic Level
You must be aware of the basic structure of an atom, How electrons revolve around protons and neutrons in free space. That free space is actually Akasha Mahabhuta. While the movement of electron is due to Vayu Mahabhuta. The energy required by an electron is provided by Agni Mahabhuta. The attractive forces between proton, neutron and electron are due to Jala Mahabhuta. Prithvi Mahabhuta is responsible for the mass of an atom.
• At Cellular Level
As we know, the cell is a fundamental unit of life. But the functions fundamental to a cell are carried out by Pancha Mahabhuta. All the spaces and cavities in a cell are because of Akasha Mahabhuta and thus providing stability to its organelles. Vayu initiates all kind of movements, whether is it gaseous, or nourishment related. Agni helps in metabolising food. Entry and exit of food inside a cell is governed by Jala Mahabhuta. Prithvi maintains the shape of a cell.
• At Embryonic level
Yes, you read it right. Pancha Mahabhutas play a crucial role in embryogenesis as well. Vayu causes cleavage and then cellular division in zygote formed while Agni performs digestion. All the water content from amniotic fluid to blood are derived from Jala. All the solid structures are formed by Prithvi while Akasha provides space for growth of different organs.
• Constituent of Sharir
There are 6 prime components that forms a Sharir of which are Panch Mahabhutas and Chetna( Conscious). When each of these Mahabhutas are present in their own appropriate amount and align with chetna, forms a living being.
Like these, there are countless examples. This was just a gist.
