Be yourself; Everyone else is already taken.

This is what most and somewhat all people needs to be nowadays, more of themselves and less of others.

Ayurveda is an holistic approach of treatment of diseases. Its ultimate motto is to cure the diseases of the ill, and to prevent the happening of diseases in well.
This is achieved by applying ayurvedic principles thoroughly and changing our lifestyles accordingly.
The sages of ancient times lived a very long and happy life only by following the principles of ayurveda.

Originally born from lord brahma himself, Ayurveda descended to earth by efforts of many sages and gods. Or so is told in the puranas and upanishads. But what only matters is it is a very effective mode of treatment with very less of side effects. Yes, it does have side effects. No medicine is there with a zero side effects guarantee. Not only the medicine, the surgery too is very good in ayurveda, with almost nil chances of failure.

Every creature on this planet is born with their own specific aura and abilities. Whether it is a tiny bacteria, a tiger, a tree or the so-called developed and most intelligent us. Ayurvedic treatment is also based on this specificity of every other individual. Every individual has its own features and characteristics, which is known as prakriti in ayurveda. The treatment is based on this prakriti assessment of individual.

Prakriti, formed during pregnancy, is of two types mainly, Sharirik and Mansik, or physical and mental. Sharirik prakriti is considered of more importance during treatment of many diseases.
7 types of Sharirik prakriti are formed from three doshas (the working entity of body according to ayurveda), vata, pitta, and kapha.

Treatment of every individual in ayurveda is based upon these prakritis they have.
P.S. This is my first blog, so i expect more mistakes. Forgive me for that as i expect to learn and become better in future posts.

Origin of AYURVEDA

Ayurveda is made up of two sanskrit terms, ayur + veda. Ayur means life or age, and the meaning of Veda is science or knowledge. So the literal meaning of Ayurveda comes out to be, The Science of Life. Lord Dhanvantari No one can tell the exact age of Ayurveda, but as the record goes, it is been  practiced in India for around 5000 years, i.e, practiced since 1500 B.C. - 500 B.C.. It is the oldest line of treatment, still surviving and helping in treatment, very effectively. Despite the fact that most of the documentations related to it are destroyed or lost, due to wars or famines or due to any other reasons, it is still very effective way of treatment, and is preferred over western medicine, not only by indians but in western countries also. Its horizons are widening day by day. As per the textbooks, Ayurveda is first remembered by Lord Brahma, and then passed on to his mind born son, Prajapati Daksha. He passed on the knowledge, as it is, to Ashwini Kumaras ( The pri...
